A Letter from our Vice President
We are seeking support for our 2nd Brotherhood of West Chester Police Golf Outing, September 21st, 2020 at Applecross Country Club. Due to the success of last year’s event we were able to create the Brotherhood of West Chester Police Benevolent Association, a 501(c)(3), fully incorporated charitable organization. That organization, with the funds raised from the golf outing was able to do the following in the last year:
- Make a sizable donation to the Borough employees and members of the AFSCME Union that were laid off or furloughed due to Covid-19
- Partner with the West Chester Area School District and create and distribute scholarships for graduating seniors at WC Henderson, Bayard Rustin HS and WC East HS
- Partner with the Charles Melton Community Center and help to sponsor their youth basketball league and one of their youth basketball teams.
- Make donations to community organizations such as The Chester County Crime Victim’s Center, The Chester County Domestic Violence Center, and The Unite for Her breast cancer support center.
- Fully fund the National Night Out Against Crime, which enhances relations between residents and law enforcement creating a true sense of community.
Last year our success was based on community support from local organizations, businesses and individual supporters. In these trying times we are looking to raise money through items that can be raffled or auctioned off, thus not burdening the local businesses and restaurants that were so supportive of us last year.
Anyone interested in participating in this year’s outing or supporting with a donation or item that can be raffled or auctioned please contact:
